"I let the emotions get the best of me and pretty much played the last three games with a broken hand." - LeBron James #NBAFinals pic.twitter.com/bj1QPDjF9r— NBA TV (@NBATV) June 9, 2018
RadioOnFire.com - For the world's best basketball player, LeBron James, the prospects of winning his fourth championship evaporated rather quickly following the events of Game 1. The Cavs had an opportunity to get back into the series in Game 3 but coughed up the lead late in the game which saw Kevin Durant hit an almost identical shot as last year to rip the heart out of Cleveland (fans included).
But despite playing at a high level and getting a team most consider to be his worst since taking the 2007 Cavs to the finals, LeBron fell short to the juggernaut Warriors yet again. Following Game 4, LeBron walked into the postgame presser sporting a black cast around his hand which he revealed he'd broken after punching a whiteboard in the locker room following Game 1. About his broken hand, LeBron explained, "I let the emotions get the best of me and pretty much played the last three games with a broken hand."
