Tekashi 6ix9ine Declares New York to Be Back On Top Thanks to Him

RadioOnFire.com - Only two months ago, Tekashi 6ix9ine made waves when he unapologetically staked his claim to the mythological King of New York crown that was coined to celebrate the Notorious B.I.G.'s dominance over the game in the mid-90's. On Friday (May 4), the Day69 rapper was back to stirring debate again, only this time, he is laying claim to regional dominance in New York's name.

"Yo, I'm happy to say that since 2014 New York fell off the map. And, I'll say we've been hot, but nobody was worried about us. Florida was winning, Atlanta been winning, L.A. was winning... All these other states - but - New York, was winning. And, I'm happy to say that New York is on f**king top!" said 6ix9ine, in a recording that he posted to his Instagram page.

"I got that f**king s**t on my back, and other artists got that s**t on their back too, but we put our city back on the f**king map!" he then added. Fans who came across the post may have taken note of some of the names that he recognizes for holding down what he believes to alas be the mecca of hip hop once again.

Among the names listed are Cardi B, A-Boogie, 50 Cent, Desiigner, Young MA, Don Q, French Montana, Swizz Beatz, Joey BadAss, Jay Critch, Dave East, ASAP Rocky, Nicki Minaj, Fabolous, Uncle Murda, Casanova, Remy Ma, Fat Joe, Troy Ave, Maino, and Jim Jones.
