Mother Turns in Son for Robbery After Seeing He Was Wanted for Shooting

RadioOnFire.com - It was a hard day for a Tennessee mother when she had to turn her son into authorities.

Adriane Perry was watching the news in her Memphis home when she was shocked by one of the crime segments. Police announced that a man was wanted for aggravated assault and robbery.

A local man was outside in his front yard when the robber approached him. The unknown assailant asked the man for a ride, but he refused. The enraged man, then, drew out a gun and demanded the keys to the car. It didn't take long for the victim's wife to come outside to find her husband in danger. She swiftly ran back into the house to retrieve their handgun and returned outside warning the criminal to leave.

The woman shot in the air when the assailant turned the gun towards her. Before fleeing, the gunman fired back at her.

As surveillance footage showed the ordeal to viewers, Adrian realized the startling truth- the gunman was her son, Derriontay Perry.

The mother decided to show her her 20-year-old some much needed "tough love" by bringing him into custody. Derriontay was booked and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of aggravated assault and has $100,000 bond.
