Kanye Seemingly Defends Tweet Supporting Candace Owens
RadioOnFire.com - Kanye West has returned to Twitter triumphantly. His presence on the social media site has given fans insight into where 'Ye's mind is at currently. Many fans of Kanye were worried about his mental health after he had a breakdown last year that caused him to stop his tour and seek help. He then took some much needed time to work on himself.
Other than announcing a joint album between himself and Kid Cudi, a new solo project, Pusha T's album, a new Nas album, and a Teyana Taylor album, Kanye has started a political storm on his Twitter after supporting Candace Owens.
Owens is a conservative public figure who opposes Black Lives Matter, as well as many other African-American activist movements. She believes that Black people living in 2018 have never suffered in slavery or in Jim Crow, and that living in the past is only hurting Black culture. Her thoughts are very unpopular in African-American communities, and she's been slammed by the left for her right-winged views. Kanye West took to Twitter to defend Owens this past weekend.
"I love the way Candace Owens thinks," tweeted 'Ye. As with almost anything Kanye tweets about, he continued on to explain his thoughts further. In a string of tweets, 'Ye stated: "get past the past," "we have freedom of speech but not freedom of thought," "The thought police want to suppress freedom of thought," and "Constantly bringing up the past keeps you stuck there."
