Thunder and Jazz Get into Heated Scuffle

RadioOnFire.com - The Oklahoma City Thunder dropped a tough match-up against a Utah Jazz team that proved tough to back down in an emotional Western Conference Game 4 match-up that got physical at several points throughout the night, on Monday, April 23.

Russell Westbrook may have added a commendable 23 points and 14 rebounds to Paul George's 32 point performance, but it was an evident frustration getting the best of him that showed up in a final score that placed OKC at a 3-games-to-1 deficit in the series.

If he wasn't chirping at Joe Ingles or staring Ricky Rubio down for giving him fits, the reigning MVP was playing a hand in other rifts in spite of the foul trouble that bogged him down for most of the contest.

Both teams would head into the half having collected a pair of techs for their quarrels. But it wasn't until the fourth quarter that it nearly boiled over, when Jae Crowder took exception to Westbrook practically clotheslining him with 5:30 remaining.

The Jazz forward fought against a collection of arms attempting to restrain him as several Thunder players pressed up on him. Amidst the chaos he wound up snapping on Carmelo Anthony and elbowing Steven Adams in the face. Crowder was ejected as a result. Utah went on to win in a 113-96 blowout that sends the series back to OKC with the Thunder on the brink of elimination.
