LaVar Ball Reacts to Report Saying Trump Didn't Help UCLA Players in China

RadioOnFire.com - LaVar Ball reignited his war of words with Donald Trump after an ESPN report claimed the president had little to do with the return of his son LiAngleo Ball to the United States following a shoplifting arrest in China last November.

The report published Saturday re-counted the shoplifting incident in China for freshmen LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill, and Cody Riley. The three were arrested after allegedly stealing sunglasses from a Louis Vuitton store and a bracelet from H&M.

During a news conference upon the players return to the states, the trio apologized for their actions and thanked Trump and the U.S government for their release. Days later, in an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo, LaVar Ball questioned Trump role in the situation.

Trump, who was visiting China as a part of a 12-day swing through Asia, responded on Twitter, saying that if it weren’t for him, LaVar would have “spent the next 5 to 10 years during Thanksgiving with your son in China.”

However, the ESPN report quoted a source close to the UCLA basketball program who claimed Ball and his two teammates were out of jail before Trump looked to intervene. This revelation caused the Big Baller Brand father to respond on Twitter with screengrabs of the report while giving the president one of his infamous catchphrases. "Thanks for what again @RealDonaldTrump? #knowyourfacts #stayinyolane," Ball tweeted.
