Officers Forcefully Remove Passenger from Delta Flight

RadioOnFire.com - Video of yet another Delta Airlines discrepancy was captured on video on Tuesday, May 30, and shows a passenger being wrestled from his seat by a pair of officers who had been sent to remove him from a plane.
The footage was captured by a reporter from WTVT-TV who happened to be on the flight when the altercation ensued. She would take to Twitter to share the recording just before the plane took off at around 5:30 pm. “Man kicked off Delta flight to LGA after he yelled at another passenger, got belligerent with a flight attendant,” reporter Kellie Cowan tweeted.
The Delta Flight 2646 aircraft was scheduled to head out of Tampa International Airport for LaGuardia at around 3:30 p.m., but those plans were delayed when the man allegedly blew a fit over another passenger's bag taking up the overhead compartment above his seat. He was described as "hostile" and "aggressive" by other passengers, at one point pulling the bag down and tossing it to the aisle. It was at that point that stewardesses called security.
"Sir, you created a disturbance on the flight. Sir, the pilot does not want you on the plane. Sir, Delta is going to rebook you on another flight," the more vocal officer of the two raised his voice to say after it became apparent that the man wasn't willing to deplane, as had been requested. "Sir, are you going to get off the aircraft or am I going to have to use force?" the officer then asked, before grabbing him with one hand behind the neck and finally lifting him after several attempts.
The other passengers on the plane reportedly clapped as he was being ushered out.

Tiger Had 0.00 Blood Alcohol Level But Was Still Out Of Wack

RadioOnFire.com - Details have surfaced to provide a clearer picture as to what prompted Florida police to detain Tiger Woods. It was initially assumed that the golf great was intoxicated when he was taken into custody at around 3 a.m. on Monday, May 29, as news that broke about his arrest for DUI was followed up by a viral-bound mug shot that showed him looking disheveled. Woods would later issue a statement in which he clarified that he hadn't had a drink, and was rather, suffering from the effects of a bad mix of medication.
It is now confirmed that Woods' breathalyzer test indeed registered a 0.00 blood-alcohol level after he was found asleep behind the wheel of a running vehicle. Woods would still be taken in and booked, however, with officers citing that his speech was "slow, sluggish and very slurred" and that he had failed to walk a straight line or balance on one foot during roadside tests. The police report also gives an account of Woods having confused directions to say the alphabet backward by assuming that he was being asked to rather recite the national anthem backward.
Officers characterized Woods having been "cooperative as much as possible," but noted that he was "very loopy, extremely sleepy" and struggled to keep his eyes open." Before admitting that he had been on several prescription drugs he is reported to have changed his story on where he was coming from and where he was headed, at one point conceding that he was unaware of his whereabouts. Jupiter police kept Woods in custody for more than 7 hours, until he was able to go on his own recognizance at 10:50 a.m.

Cleveland Police Officer Who Shot and Killed Tamir Rice Fired

RadioOnFire.com - Timothy Loehmann, the police officer who shot and killed 12-year-old Tamir Rice in 2014, has been fired, city officials announced.
In March, the 911 operator who dispatched the officers to the call was suspended for failing to tell the officers that Rice was carrying a toy pellet gun. And in January, it was announced that the officers involved in the incident would face administrative charges. In 2015, a grand jury decided not to bring criminal charges against Loehmann and Frank Garmback, the officer who was driving the patrol car.
Garmback will be suspended for 10 days starting on Wednesday.

Tiger Woods Claims He Was Disoriented from Medication, Not Alcohol During DUI

RadioOnFire.com - News of Tiger Woods' DUI went viral on Monday (May 29), but the famed golf player claims that alcohol didn't play a part in him being disoriented. In a statement obtained by TMZ, Woods claimed that he was on medication at the time of his arrest.
"I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions. I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications affected me so strongly. I would like to apologize with all my heart to my family, friends, and the fans. I expect more from myself, too. I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again. I fully cooperated with law enforcement, and I would like to personally thank the representatives of the Jupiter Police Dept. and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office for their professionalism.”
Tiger had back surgery for the fourth time on April 20, which would explain the powerful medication he claims he was on at the time of his arrest.

Laurel Man Crashes Gate, Boards Plane At BWI Marshall

RadioOnFire.com - A Laurel man is undergoing a medical evaluation after breaching security Saturday at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
Maryland Transportation Authority (MdTA) police identified the man who crashed his car through a secure area at Signature Aviation as Andrew Kottke, 42.
According to a witness who declined to be identified, Kottke traveled far into the airport property before being stopped by police. The witness said the breach is more serious than authorities describe, and the man may have been on the loose in a speeding car five to six minutes before being stopped.
"He tried to make a run for it and they apprehended him," the witness said. "It's quite disturbing. You have many people who have families or children, as I do. Anybody could have gotten hurt anywhere around that vehicle. Nobody knew what he was doing it just seemed crazy."
The witness reported seeing a 2013 Chevy Camaro entering the Signature Aviation property at a high rate of speed, crashing through a fence.
"He then drove at a high rate of speed, missing some aircraft and doing doughnuts. Some Signature employees began to come out and tried to figure out what was going on. When they approached, he sped off," the witness said.
The witness said, moments later, the man got out of the car and started to dance, twirling in circles. The witness described the man as distraught.
"It seemed odd, maybe tribal something. It was just weird," the witness said.
MdTA Police Lt. Kevin Ayd told WBAL NewsRadio 1090 that officers later found Kottke inside an empty plane. There was no damage to the plane, and no one was hurt.
Kotke is in an area hospital undergoing a medical evaluation.
Court records indicate Kottke had a domestic violence complaint filed against him. On May 26, Prince George's County District Court issued a peace order against him. The next day, the court expanded it, saying Kottke "shall not abuse, shall not contact, shall vacate the home and shall not enter the property."
Kottke's current employment status is not being confirmed. In 2015, he served in the U.S. Marshal's Service and received honors as an officer of the month for crowd control.
But at the airport on Saturday, Kottke started drawing a crowd, the witness said.
"He sped off again toward the international terminal and started doing doughnuts," the witness said.
Kottke wore a back pack that authorities said contained personal items. Kottke faces state and possibly federal charges when he's released from his medical evaluation.

Orioles Hall of Famer Melvin Mora Sister-In-Law Murdered

RadioOnFire.com - Police in New York City are investigating the killing of the sister-in-law of Orioles Hall of Famer Melvin Mora.
Mora's sister-in-law, Ivelisse Alvarado-Genao, 30, was fatally shot Friday night in Brooklyn, according to authorities in New York. Her body was found at 11:14 p.m. Friday on the 3700 block of West 36th Street, police said.
Alvarado-Genao just relocated to New York in April because of a new job. She had lived in Baltimore for 10 years to help her sister, Gisel Mora, and brother-in-law, Melvin Mora, with their growing family.
"(Ivelisse) is my baby sister who lived in Maryland until very recently," Gisel Mora told WBAL-TV.

In February, Alvarado-Genao married 30-year-old Gabino Genao, who, her family said, she knew from middle school. The family said they recently began learning about abusive behavior toward her.
"My mom said last couple of days, yes. She didn't know he was physically violent with her," Gisel Mora said.
Neighbors told the family that Gabino Genao acted strangely and was pacing back and forth. The family said the shots were fired as relatives of the victim sat in her car.
"He hopped in, forced his way into the car. Ivelisse told him to step out of the vehicle. He put two shots to her head, notified a family member about what he had done, then put another round to her head, then took off running," said Christopher Crespo, Alvarado-Genao's brother-in-law.
Police said they are searching for Gabino Genao, who is described as 6 feet tall, weighing about 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was arrested in November on a criminal contempt charge, police told WNBC-TV, WBAL-TV's sister station in New York.
According to the Alvarado-Genao's family, Gabino Genao has connections in New York, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
"It's a possibility he could go to Georgia, Maryland, Miami. He's on the run," Crespo said.
Gisel Mora and the family are in New York with the rest of the family Monday morning.
"(Ivelisse) had my mother bring her the girls for the weekend because she recently got a job and so she moved to New York with him (her husband). The girls stayed with my mom (in Maryland) until the school year ended. (Iveliss) was missing them and sent my mom bus fare money to celebrate the holiday weekend together. She had just picked them up from the bus station, picked up a few pies of pizza to celebrate them being together," Gisel Mora said.
Alvarado-Genao leaves behind two daughters: a 5-year-old and 9-year-old.
GoFundMe page set up by close family to help pay for Alvarado-Genao's funeral expenses said she was the victim of a "heartbreaking act of domestic violence."
The NYPD is asking anyone with tips to call their tipline at 800-577-TIPS (8477), or call Detective Michael Damico at 718-946-3343, or the Detective Borough Brooklyn South at 718-287-3239.

Memorial Day Weekend Shootings Left 1 Dead and 63 Injured in Chicago

RadioOnFire.com - Following the mayhem of last year's memorial day weekend in Chicago that left 6 dead and 63 shot, authorities made a concerted effort to control the wave of violence this year, although there is still much work to be done. A 15-year old boy was killed during the Memorial Day festivities, along with 26 others who sustained gunshot wounds. Chicago Police deployed an additional 1300 officers over the weekend in an attempt to quell the violence.
This comes after a string of raids late last week that sent several members of Chicago's two-six gang behind bars.

Rally Held To Honor Murdered Bowie State Student

RadioOnFire.com - Dozens gathered outside The Mall of Columbia on Sunday to honor Richard Collins III, the 23-year-old Bowie State University student and second lieutenant in the Army who was fatally stabbed on May 20.
The rally was organized by NAACP's Howard County Branch.
Signs of support filled the crowd as speakers took to the bullhorn with a clear message about what they believe was a hate crime.
"I think it's terrorism, I think it's a hate crime and I think it should be treated as a hate crime," said Willie Flowers, the branch's president.
Jenna Grant, who attended the rally, expressed concern of not taking action.
"We got to start talking to our friends, our family members, our colleagues ... if we're not preventative, we're going to be reactive," she said. "We're going to stay waiting for somebody else's child to be killed, a family member, and then we're going to react."
Grant added, "We're not taking action."
Sean Urbanski, a 22-year-old University of Maryland student, has been charged with first- and second-degree murder as well as first-degree assault. The Severna Park resident is being held without bail.

City's Curfew Goal Is To Reconnect Kids With Family, Keep Them Safe From Violence

RadioOnFire.com - Baltimore enacted a city-wide curfew on Friday. The curfew, which ends in August, permits children 14 years old or younger from staying out past 9 p.m. The time for the 14 to 16 age group is 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. the next day.
City police commissioner Kevin Davis told the Jimmy Mathis Show on Saturday morning that the objective is to keep kids off the streets and reconnect them with responsible parents and guardians. But Davis also mentioned violence being a factor in the decision.
"Our homicide victims average 13 arrests a piece in their lifetime and half of our homicide victims have been arrested at one point or another for illegally carrying a gun," he said. "We have to continue to focus on the people who we know are most likely to re-offend with a gun and hurt other people."
Davis added, "That strategy is always being tweaked and part of the summer curfew strategy is to make sure that we don't have young people out in the street during times of night during the summer months who are likely to get themselves in a tricky situation."

Lil Yachty - Teenage Emotions (ALBUM REVIEW)

RadioOnFire.com - Something about Lil Yachty makes me want to root for him. I don't know if it is the fact that the 19 year old rapper gets so much hate or the fact that he hails from my second hometown - Atlanta, Georgia. To a large degree, I feel he is an underdog, although some may not agree. He does have the backing of Quality Control Music, Capitol Records and Motown Records. Surely, many rap music underdogs would love the kind of label support Lil Yachty enjoys, but it has come with a price.

With the level of success the 'Summer Song' rapper has seen just releasing an EP & mixtapes you would think he would be more celebrated. Lil Yachty was infamously called the 'poster child for wack rappers' and "Teenage Emotions" was his chance to prove naysayers wrong.

If nothing, Lil Yachty "Teenage Emotions" album cover is brave. Showcasing two apparently gay white males' kissing, a very overweight white girl, a punk rock girl, a girl with vitiligo, an albino, some black hip hoppers and more all sitting in a movie theater among Lil Yachty, it comes off as more of a show of acceptance than a coming out party.

While the catchy 1980's feel of "Bring It Back" and Diplo produced "Forever Young" has crossover appeal; Yachty has songs like the Migos assisted "Peek A Boo" will have ratched strip clubs across the country lit. He comes off like he has something to prove and addresses haters and imitators often. Not many people will confuse "Momma" (Outro) ft. Sonyae Elise with a timeless classic.

Songs like "Made of Glass" and "DN Freestyle" are some of the worst songs I have heard in recent memory. He is especially bad when he tries to do the 'Soulja Boy' flow.

There are other standout cuts like the reggae influenced "Better" ft. Stefflon Don & "All Around Me" ft. YG and Kamaiyah. While his actual rap skill is limited - he knows how to make fun music (with the right production); and that is what hip-hop is all about. Lil Yachty is all fun - no substance.

Ben Carson: Poverty to a Large Extent is a State of Mind

RadioOnFire.com - Ben Carson, the newly appointed Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, on Wednesday during a SiriusXM interview described poverty as a "state of mind."
“I think poverty to a large extent is also a state of mind," he said. "You take somebody who has the right mindset, you can take everything from them and put them on the street and I guarantee you in a little while they'll be right back up there. And you take somebody with the wrong mindset, you can give them everything in the world, they'll work their way back down to the bottom."
Carson, a celebrated neurosurgeon before turning to politics, has long insisted on an ethics of individual responsibility. Earlier this month, he suggested that public housing shouldn't be too comfortable for its residents, and in March he referred to slaves as immigrants who believed in the idea of America as a "land of dreams and opportunity."

Video Shows Texas Police Officer Punch 14-Year-Old Girl During Arrest

RadioOnFire.com - A shocking video recently surfaced that appears to show a San Antonio police officer punch a 14-year old girl while breaking up fights outside of a birthday party. The officer can be seen hitting the girl before other officers helped arrest the girl.
According to reports, the video recorded Saturday (May 21) show police officers answering a call of men fighting during a quinceanera, the celebration of a girl's 15th birthday. During the commotion, we see a police officer strike the girl twice before she fell back into a group of onlookers. After the initial hits, the officer strikes the teen again before other officers swarm in for the arrest.
"No! No! No! No! Let her go!" shouted the girl's mother as officers arrested her daughter. The 14-year-old honor roll student was charged with assaulting a public servant. Artessia House, the lawyer representing the teen, told the San Antonio Express-News that it is "clear as day" the officers used excessive force arresting her client.
Ivy Taylor, Mayor of San Antonio, said the disturbing video was "hard to watch and listen to" and explained the police department would be reviewing police body camera footage to understand the incident. The teen was released Monday (May 22) from a juvenile detention center.

Boosie Tells NBA YoungBoy to Leave Louisiana ASAP After Release from Jail

RadioOnFire.com - Rapper NBA Youngboy was released from a Lousiana jail after being incarcerated in December 2016. The rapper was previously hit with two charges of attempted first-degree murder. Now, rapper Boosie Badazz, a fellow Louisiana native, has decided to give some advice to the budding star. Via an Instagram post, Boosie said, "Welcome home @nba_youngboy [100 emoji] Leave Br asap." The advice telling NBA Youngboy to get out of Baton Rouge ASAP may seem out of nowhere, but Boosie's past gives him a good reason to offer that advice to a young man looking to change his life.
During an interview with VladTV, the rapper explained that he became a target of the court system in Louisiana due to his lifestyle and the things he spoke about. Boosie gave an example during the interview, saying, "I made songs about public officials and things like that. Those people don't forget that and I don't trust people like that. It's nothing for me to just be riding down the street and they just stop me and throw a gun in my car."

Netflix Cancels "The Get Down" After One Season

RadioOnFire.com - Netflix has canceled The Get Down, a hip hop drama series set in the South Bronx during the 1970s. The six-part second half of the first season was released last month.
The show, which had a $120 million budget (Netflix's second most expensive series), had been bogged down in pre-production. Lengthy delays and personnel changes resulted in the decision to release the first season in two parts.
Director Baz Luhrmann said he wouldn't have been able to commit to the second season full time, and that that played a key role in determining the decision to cancel the show. “This exclusivity has understandably become a sticking point for Netflix and Sony, who have been tremendous partners and supporters of the show. It kills me that I can’t split myself into two and make myself available to both productions… But the simple truth is, I make movies," he said in a Facebook post.
The Get Down followed a group of South Bronx teenagers witnessing the rise of disco and hip hop.
