Report: Kawhi Leonard Wants out of San Antonio, Eyes the Lakers

RadioOnFire.com - San Antonio Spurs forward and former NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard has had a forgettable season. Hampered by a lingering quad injury, Leonard found himself sidelined for most of the year. Tensions mounted between Leonard and the Spurs after Leonard expressed distrust in the organization for how they handled his rehab. Despite the potential $219M supermax contract on the table, Leonard apparently wants out of San Antonio and is looking to land on the Los Angeles Lakers according to ESPN's NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

The reports come during the frenzy that is building surrounding LeBron James' pending free agency and the potential of him suiting up for the Lakers next season. ESPN's Romana Shelbourne reports that Kawhi is working out in San Diego and is making "great progress." The Lakers are hoping to hit a couple of off-season home runs by acquiring Kawhi Leonard, LeBron James, and either Paul George or Chris Paul according to reports.

Do you think a big three of LeBron, Kawhi, and PG (or CP3) could take down the Warriors?
