Ric Flair Calls LeBron James "The Greatest of All Time"

RadioOnFire.com - Ric Flair's scope on the legacy that LeBron James is carrying around as he concludes his 15th season in the NBA supersedes typical comparisons between the Cleveland great and his 'His Airness' Michael Jordan. Beyond basketball, Flair puts him ahead of any athlete who continues to walk the earth.

"I think the greatest athlete alive today is LeBron James," the legendary wrestling entertainer recently told Valuetainment Podcast host, Patrick Bet-David.

Flair's assertion would mean he sees LBJ being atop the likes of Wayne Gretzky, Serena Williams, Tiger Woods, Hank Aaron, Lionel Messi, and any other athlete from the world of sports in general. But to keep it specific to hoops, Flair told Bet-David that indeed he does hold Lebron in higher regard than MJ, "because of height and weight - and he's ahead of Michael in every statistic at his age, except for championships," he says.

Flair wrapped up his rationale for why he'd go with the 33-year-old 4-time MVP by posing that although some certain sentiments might draw him to lean towards Jordan, because of how strongly he remembers the Bulls G.O.A.T.'s dominance, there are just some cases when the old favorites get eclipsed by the greats of the younger generations. Such is the case with Tom Brady leaving his boyhood idol Johnny Unitas, and such is the case with James bumping Jordan off of the throne, he says.
