Loud Record to Remake Wu-Tang's '36 Chambers' with 9 New Rappers of Today

RadioOnFire.com - Wu-Tang Clan's debut album, Enter The Wu-Tang [36 Chambers], kicked off the legendary rap group's run when it was released in November 1993. With a tracklist consisting of bangers like 'Protect Ya Neck', 'C.R.E.A.M', 'Bring da Ruckus', and 'Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthing ta F*** Wit' the group became an inspiration for other legendary New York hip-hop artists like the Notorious B.I.G, Mobb Deep, and Nas.

And now, it looks like the founder of Loud Records, Steve Rifkind, is attempting to bring back the nostalgia by re-releasing the classic album re-recorded using nine emcees of today's current rap generation for the album's 25th year anniversary coming this fall. This is what Rifkind had to say about the album remake while speaking with XXLmagazine,

"With Wu-Tang, we're gonna do a few things... We're gonna remake the album with nine MCs from today and each new MC will play a character in the original 36 Chambers. There's gonna be a major tour cause it's also Wu's 25[th anniversary]."

The artists being used for the remake of the classic album has yet to be revealed but it will be interesting to see who will be channeling the young rap god, Ol'Dirty Bastard on 'Shame on a N****' and who will embody Method Man's flow on 'Method Man'.

Rifkind also mentioned that Loud Records will also be celebrating the anniversary of Big Pun's debut album, Capital Punishment, but the details of the celebratory project have yet to be revealed. With that said, should the classic Enter The Wu-Tang [36 Chambers] album be reworked with current hip-hop artists? And who do you think best suits each member of the Wu out of today's rap figures? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
