911 Operator Sentenced For Hanging Up on Emergency Calls

RadioOnFire.com - How would you feel if you called 911 and the operator hung up on you, or even worse, taunted you? One woman has been convicted of doing just that, and how she will spend time in jail.

Crenshanda Williams is getting what she deserves. In 2016, 44-year-old Williams was arrested after it was discovered that she was hanging up on emergency callers at her job as a 911 operator in Houston, Texas. A year and a half later, Williams has finally been convicted of a misdemeanor for interfering with emergency telephone calls. She will spend 10 days in jail, and serve 18 months of probation.

Williams worked as a 911 operator for a year and a half, and during that time it was discovered that she received thousands of calls. Each of the calls lasted less than twenty seconds, implicating that Williams was ditching the calls before completing any tasks to help the callers.

According to CNN, Williams was recorded saying "Ain't nobody got time for this. For real," before hanging up on one caller. Baller Alert states that Williams told investigators that she didn't feel like speaking to anyone during that time. You just can't make this stuff up.
