RadioOnFire.com - It is now 13 days before the official start of winter and parts of Maryland could see its first measurable snowfall by Saturday morning.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for Central Maryland and Kent and Cecil counties from 7 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Saturday. A winter storm warning is in effect for southern Maryland and much of the Eastern Shore from 7 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday.
Some school districts are making decisions about weekend activities due to the weather forecast. Check closings here. Anne Arundel County Public Schools have canceled school-sponsored activities Saturday -- including ACT at Meade and Southern high schools, and the magnet program auditions and interviews at Bates Middle School.
The Baltimore area could see one to three inches, with the snow expected to move in Friday night. On the Eastern Shore, totals could reach as high as six inches.
Anne Arundel and Howard county schools have canceled all school-sponsored activities scheduled for Saturday. Baltimore County schools have canceled activities for Saturday and Sunday. Carroll County schools have canceled Saturday school and TEG.
