Ray J Closes $31M Deal to Launch New Brand 'Raycon'
RadioOnFire.com - Ray J has reportedly struck gold after drawing the attention of world-class electronics distributor Cowboy Wholesale, with his popular Scoot-E-Bike brand. On Thursday, November 9, it was announced that the star entertainer landed a deal with the company that will earn him $31 million in equity and cash, while bringing his status in the electronic transportation industry up a notch.
Cowboy Wholesale has signed Ray J in an effort to launch an offshoot of his two-wheeled gadget into a new product that will be introduced to consumers as his Raycon line of scooters. In partnership with Cowboy Wholesale, the company will look to expand into other electronic products for its consumers as well.
“The world is moving towards renewable green energy, and electric transportation is a big part of that. With the Raycon movement, we are going to make sure we are one of the first ones there,” Ray J said in a statement announcing the deal.
Ray J will now transition from the role he's held since 2015 as CEO of Scoot-E-Bike to head the marketing and global branding strategy department of Raycon. Meanwhile, Cowboy Wholesale looks to get Raycon's products on shelves across the globe by mid-November through its logistics and distribution channels.
