FBI: Towson Bank Robber Killed In House Fire

RadioOnFire.com - A man wanted in connection with four bank robberies in the Towson area in the last two weeks has been found dead in a house fire, according to FBI officials.

The FBI Baltimore Violent Crimes Task Force tried to execute a Baltimore County arrest warrant around 9:30 p.m. Sunday for the bank robbery suspect at an address in Rising Sun, officials said.

FBI officials on Saturday announced a reward for information on the suspect.

Authorities said they tried to make contact with the man, but he refused to comply with officers' orders and barricaded himself in the basement of the house. The home caught fire, and the man was found dead inside, police said.

The man's identity has been withheld pending notification of next-of-kin, police said.

The Maryland Office of State Fire Marshal is investigating the origin and cause of the fire.

There were no other injuries.
