RadioOnFire.com - Back in June during Governors Ball, Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover told the crowd that his next album would be his last under the Gambino name. Although this came as a shock and great disappointment, it turns out that Gambino isn't ready to put down the mic just yet.
In a new interview BBC's Clara Amfo, Clara admitted that she didn't know whether or not she should address him as Donald or Gambino because she knew the Gambino name was retiring. Donald then reminds the DJ that he hasn't retired Gambino yet and suggested that he wouldn't do so for a while.
“You still have a lot more time of calling me [Childish Gambino] if you want,” he said.
Although Donald didn't tell us how long that would be, he revealed that new music was being made in London.
“I’ve been working on that here, you guys have been very instrumental in my music. London has been very inspirational.”
This comes as a surprise because Donald is extremely busy. He's getting ready to release season 2 of Atlanta and play the voice of Simba in Disney's Lion King remake. However, Donald is a jack of all trades. If he says he's working on new music we know to be on the look out.
