BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore Department of Transportation is reporting road closures due to a water main break.
The water main break was reported on W. Mulberry Street between Greene and N. Paca streets in downtown Baltimore.
The main break has resulted in a gaping hole in the middle of the intersection, which is roped off with caution tape.
Baltimore Department of Public Works spokesman Jeff Raymond said the road collapsed following a water main break Mulberry Street between Paca and Greene streets.
Raymond said it is unclear when the road collapsed, but it will be shut down until repairs are completed.
The Department of Public Works will provide water and sewer service to customers in the area who are affected, Raymond said.
