WWE Hall of Famer "Mean" Gene Okerlund Passes Away at Age 76

RadioOnFire.com - Today is a day of mourning for the culture of World Wide Wrestling, as Hall of Famer interviewer "Mean" Gene Okerlund has reportedly passed away. "Mean Gene" was originally an interviewer for the American Wrestling Association, yet in 1984 he transitioned to the WWF where he became a notable face in the sport. Throughout the years, Okerlund interviewed all of wrestling's biggest stars including Macho Man Randy Savage, The Ultimate Warrior, and of course Hulk Hogan, who often answered his questions by saying "Well you know something 'Mean' Gene?!"

Later in his career, Okerlund provided ringside commentary and hosted a number of wrestling shows, and even performed the National Anthem at the first Wrestlemania in 1985.
