RadioOnFire.com - The first homicides of 2019 in Baltimore City were reported on Tuesday afternoon. Baltimore City Police report that at around 4:24 P.M., a 28-year-old man was found shot on Frederick Avenue in West Baltimore. That man later died after being taken to Shock Truma.
Later, at about 5:40 p.m., police were called to the 4200 block of Berger Avenue in Northeast Baltimore where they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. That man was pronounced dead at the scene.
For the fourth year in a row, Baltimore City recorded over 300 homicides in a calendar year.
Baltimore ended 2018 with a total of 309 homicides, down about 10% over 2017.
