Post Malone Breaks J. Cole's First-Day Spotify Streaming Record

RadioOnFire.com - The Republic Records renaissance man dropped the sophomore follow-up to his Stoneyproject on April 27, and within a 24-hour span, managed to garner 47,930,039 spins in the United States and 78,744,748 globally, which are now both all-time highs. In regards to the U.S. plays, that number well exceeds J. Cole's previous mark of 36,656,086 streams of KOD (Kids On Drugs).

In much the same manner that Cardi B's Invasion Of Privacy was automatically granted Gold status due to the singles she had out before the actual album, Beerbongs & Bentleys was immediately certified platinum thanks to his Hot 100 topping hit "Rockstar" and his No. 2 Hot 100 record "Psycho."

Therefore, Malone has landed his second consecutive platinum record, and what's more, Beerbongs & Bentleys is already halfway to the double platinum distinction earned by his 2016 debut.

KOD was announced Billboard's no. 1 album this past week. It is now expected that the J. Cole release will be surpassed by Beerbongs & Bentleys. Such a feat would make BB&B Malone's first chart-topping album.
