North Korea and South Korea Will Officially End War After 65 Years

RadioOnFire.com - According to CNN, North Korea and South Korea are set to officially end their war 65 years after ceasing from carrying on with hostile activities against one another.

Reports noted a day-long summit took place between South Korean president Moon Jae-in and North Korean ruler Kim Jong Un. The two were seen shaking each other's hand, planting a tree, and talking for over 30 minutes. From there, the two signed the Panmunjom Declaration for Peace, Prosperity, and Unification on the Korean Peninsula. The declaration essentially locks both countries in for denuclearization, as well as pushes the countries to discuss a formal ending to conflict.

Donald Trump tweeted about the situation, saying Americans “should be very proud of what is now taking place in Korea!” Along with that, he said “After a furious year of missile launches and nuclear testing, a historic meeting between North and South Korea. Good things are happening, but only time will tell!"
