RadioOnFire.com - There is no doubt that the New England Patriots have built a dynasty in the last two decades. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have been crowned NFL royalty, and both men will be inducted into the Hall of Fame one day. Although all that is true, the Pats lost to the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday at Superbowl LII, 41-33. The lost created more cracks in the base of the Patriots organization after season-long tension threatened to derail last years Superbowl champs. Within hours of the loss, the Detroit Lions announced that Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia would be their new head coach. Patricia has been with the Patriots in a coaching position since 2004.
The pieces are starting to crumble on the Patriots' empire, and Fox Sports journalist and ex-football player Shannon Sharpe believes Belichick could leave the team.
"This is the first time we've seen them say 'tension' in the 18-year run. This is the first time that we've actually seen a crack in the foundation what is the Patriots," states Sharpe. In regards to Belichick staying in New England with Tom Brady, Shannon states, "I don't know. It's going to be very very interesting. Mr. Kraft has told Coach Belichick 'yes' a million times. It's the one time that he told him no that hurts the most."
