Nicki Minaj's Mom Testifies in Her Son's Molestation Case

RadioOnFire.com - The rape trial of Nicki Minaj's brother continued on Thursday when the accused's mother testified about text messages sent in the days following her son's arrest.

Nicki Minaj's brother, Jelani Maraj, stands accused of raping his wife's daughter starting when she was 11 years old. He allegedly assaulted her as many as four times per week in their Long Island Home before being arrested on Dec. 1, 2015.

Maraj's family is contending that his estranged wife, Jacqueline Robinson, went hunting for a payday after the arrest and wanted $25 million from Nicki Minaj's family.

“You guys set up my child,” mother Carol Maraj texted Robinson the night her son was arrested.

While Carol Maraj claimed that she doesn't remember writing the text, she did admit to being its author.

“A lot of things were going through my head that day,” she said. “It was a confusing day.”

Maraj also recalled being given a ride to the courthouse by Robinson for Jelani's arrainment.

“We had a little conversation,” Carol Maraj said.” As we were getting out of the car she said, `It's going to take a lot of money to get out of this one.’”

Jelani Maraj faces 15 years to life in prison if he's convicted of the most serious chage levied against him.
