Cardi B Says to Young Girls: I Really Need to Be a Better Example

RadioOnFire.com - Cardi B is becoming a mainstream star right before our eyes. With her hit single, "Bodak Yellow" not only making history on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, but her name is beginning to be recognized beyond hip-hop circles. It's safe to say that Cardi is cognizant of this fact as she discussed in a video posted on Instagram Thursday. Cardi said she's starting to notice how young girls are looking up to her now and because of this she has to begin to move differently. “I realized, after Halloween, a lot of little girls, they be looking up to me,” [...] They love me, and I’m thinking to myself, like, ‘yo, I really need to be a better example.’” She continued,

“But I be trying to be a better example, though, you know what I’m saying? I’ve been trying to be more PG-13, less rated R, [...] But I be hanging out with my hood rat friends and then they fuck me up all over again.”

“But I’m gonna change for you, little girls, because I deadass love ya,”

Whatever the case, it seems upstanding and socially responsible of Cardi to make an effort to better influence young women. What are your thoughts?
