RadioOnFire.com - According to reports, R&B singer Christopher Williams was recently arrested for stealing. The singer is known for his song “I’m Dreamin’” which appeared on the New Jack City soundtrack. Along with having a track on the album, Williams also had a major role in the cult classic movie. Williams reportedly went into a Kohl’s in McDonough, Georgia this past Saturday. While in the store, Williams was wearing a baseball hat and had a tote bag with him. The singer allegedly went to the back of the store, grabbed a pair of JBL headphones, and threw them into his bag. Williams reportedly attempted to walk out of the store with the $99.99 headphones but was stopped by security abruptly.
When asked about the headphones, Williams told security that he forgot he put them in his bag. Williams may or may not have been telling the truth, but by the time everything was sorted out, the cops were already called and arrived at the scene. Because of that, Williams was arrested. He was charged with petty theft, which is a misdemeanor. Williams was not held for too long, as he was let out after a couple of hours of being detained.
