Jas Prince Sues Birdman Again Over Drake's Contract

RadioOnFire.com - Previously, Rap-A-Lot Records founder J. Prince told TMZ that he wanted to make Birdman an "offer he couldn't refuse" to settle all the money drama between him and Lil Wayne. Now, the founder's son Jas Prince is hitting Birdman with a lawsuit directly for the millions of dollars owed to him for Drake's profits. Cash Money Records allegedly never paid out what was owed. According to TMZ, Prince says the co-founders of Cash Money Records--Birdman and his brother Slim Williams have yet to pay out the profits from him bringing Drake to their door originally. Aspire Music Group filed the lawsuit, and were initially managing Drake when Prince brought the Canadian rapper to Cash Money for a record deal. Because he brought Drake to Cash Money, Prince and Aspire are supposed to be paid according to stipulations on Drake's Young Money contract. However, Birdman has not paid either party, and even signed Drake to an exclusive deal in January 2013 that allegedly blocked Aspire from getting four million dollars.
Prince previously sued Cash Money Records but ended up with no results. There is no telling if this will get Prince the results he is looking for, but there is a higher chance since Prince is reportedly running the show. Jas Prince now has a chunk of ownership in Aspire Music Group.
