RadioOnFire.com - State Police say a Baltimore woman was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer in Frederick County..
Police say 49-year-old Bonnie Bush-Schaffer ran into the path of the oncoming vehicle about 4:40 a.m. Sunday.
She was pronounced dead at the scene along Route 15 at Tippin Drive in Thurmont.
Police say the driver of the tractor-trailer tried to avoid hitting the woman, but couldn't.
Investigators aren't sure why the woman ran into traffic.
