Hillary Clinton Wins New York Primary

RadioOnFire.com - Democrats backed former New York Sen. Hillary Clinton Tuesday over Brooklyn-born Bernie Sanders because they think she has the right experience to be commander-in-chief and can beat fellow New Yorker Donald Trump should he succeed as the GOP nominee.


According to the NBC News Exit Poll, 72 percent of Democrats believe Clinton will be the eventual nominee, and 65 percent feel she has a better chance than Sanders to beat Trump.

Key groups backing Clinton included 75 percent of black voters, 72 percent of Democrats age 65 and older, 67 percent of married women and 66 percent of political moderates. Among a third of voters who put a premium on experience when casting votes Tuesday, nine in 10 supported Clinton.
