RadioOnFire.com - The Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Joe Flacco have agreed on a restructured contract, multiple media outlets report.
NFL.com reports the new deal includes a three-year extension, will keep Flacco under team control through 2021 and includes a $40 million signing bonus.
The Baltimore Ravens will hold a 2 p.m. press conference today with General Manager/Executive Vice President Ozzie Newsome, Head CoachJohn Harbaugh and QB Joe Flacco at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills. LISTEN LIVE | WATCH LIVE
Flacco, 31, would account for a $28.6 million salary cap hit without the restructured deal. Flacco, the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII., played 10 games last season before tearing his ACL. Before that, Flacco had yet to miss a start since his rookie debut.
The deal will open a significant amount of cap space for the Ravens ahead of free agency, and softens the blow of the team putting the franchise tag on kicker Justin Tucker.
