Baltimore Department of Public Works Employee Killed In Workplace Shooting

RadioOnFire.com - A Baltimore public works employee was shot and killed in an employee locker room Thursday morning, police say.
Police were called at 8:32 a.m. to a maintenance facility in the 2300 block of Fulton Avenue in West Baltimore. The victim, a 34-year-old man, was pronounced dead at Shock Trauma, police spokesman TJ Smith said.
"The suspect was known to him," Smith said. "Everything occurred inside the building."

There was some argument before the shots rang out.
"They were at work making a living and somehow or another, the bad guy decided to end this dispute with a gun," Smith said.
Smith said, contrary to rumors, the shooting was isolated and there was never an active shooter situation. Police released few details about the person of interest in the case, and would not identify the victim.
"It's still early, and there's still a family that is in the process of being notified of this unfortunate incident that occurred to their loved one.
DPW director Rudy Chow said the building is secure, with identification required for entry, and is the base for more than 100 employees. Counselors will be made available, he said.
