Arson Suspected In Deadly East Baltimore Apartment Fire.


One person is dead after an apartment fire early Friday in northeast Baltimore.
City fire officials said the two-alarm fire began just after 3:30 a.m. in the 5200 block of Frankford Avenue.
Fire crews had to rescue six people and one person was taken to the hospital. Seven families were displaced because of the blaze.
Baltimore City police spokesman T.J. Smith said arson is suspected as the cause of the fire.
The American Red Cross has also responded to the scene and are working to help displaced residents with emergency need such as food, clothing, shoes and transportation. 
Red Cross spokeswoman Brittany Fowler said they are working with the apartment building's management company to help provide shelter to those that have been displaced by the fire.
