RadioOnFire.com - The premiere of Surviving R Kelly has given new life to the old rumors about R Kelly and Aaliyah's secret marriage, in which at the time the "Age Ain't Nothing but a Number" singer was only 15. The docuseries has since confirmed that the marriage did indeed happen in August of 1994, while documents were forged to make Aaliyah of legal age to marry.
The alleged document indicates that Aaliyah D. Haughton was 18 in 1994, while it's otherwise documented that the singer was born in 1979. Likely due to all the pandemonium revolving around the docuseries, the actual certification of marriage has been released to the public for everyone to see.
Thus far, there haven't been any more additional statements made by Aaliyah's family.
