RadioOnFire.com - Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro survived an assassination attempt on his life that took place this past Saturday (August 4) during a speech he was delivering at a military parade.
According to reports, drones that were armed with explosives flew toward Maduro while he was in the middle of issuing the speech. While speaking, the footage shows the President and his wife looking up in disbelief after hearing a loud bang.
CNN noted seven members of the National Guard were hurt as a result of the attempt on Maduro’s life. President Maduro blamed the attack on Colombia’s president, Juan Manuel Santos. Sources from the Columbia president’s camp said the claims made against Santos are “baseless.”
