RadioOnFire.com - According to a report, Prince’s heirs would like to get out of their deal with Tidal after it was alleged that the company inflated the streaming numbers for acts like Beyoncé and Kanye West.
A letter from the heirs’ lawyer said both parties were set to be a part of a major deal with Tidal, but backed out after the company was accused of boosting the numbers for Kanye West’s ‘The Life of Pablo’ and Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ album. Tidal allegedly added over several hundred million streams, which boosted the amount of royalties paid out to both artists.

Now, the heirs want the probate judge in Prince’s case to consider doing away with the order that allowed Tidal exclusive streaming rights for a new album full of unreleased Prince songs. According to TMZ, the heirs don’t want to be caught in the backlash Tidal is facing over the streaming scandal.
