RadioOnFire.com - Oprah Winfrey continues to grow her empire. The 64-year-old media maven just landed a partnership deal with Apple. The multiple-year partnership will feature original content with the possibility of film, TV, apps, and books (not including podcasts).
According to the Hollywood Reporter, tech giants Netflix and Amazon were pursuing similar deals --making the situation highly competitive. Moreover, the deal is non-exclusive. Oprah will continue to serve as chairman and CEO of OWN network.
Currently, the podcast version of her series Super Soul Sunday is available and reached No. 1 on Apple Podcasts.
