According to Pro Football Talk, documents within Kaepernick’s collusion case against the NFL shows that “teams viewed Kaepernick as being good enough not simply to be employed by an NFL team, but to be a starting quarterback for an NFL team.”
Speaking with TMZ Monday, Sen Marco Rubio shared his thoughts on the matter, explaining that he was unclear of the recent reports, but he feels Kaepernick is talented enough to be on an NFL squad.
“What is it 64 quarterbacks in the NF? There aren’t 63 people better than him.” Rubio said. “I support his right to stand for what he does. I don’t agree with does but I support his right to do it but if you’re just talking football. I mean there is a dearth of good quarterbacks, and he’s certainly – there aren’t 63 better quarterbacks in the world.”
While he understands teams “don’t sign people for a lot of different reasons,” Rubio remains hopeful Kaepernick will make it back to the league. “He’s going to get a shot I believe if he wants one,” he added
