Netflix: 'House Of Cards' Will Resume Production Early in 2018

RadioOnFire.com - Netflix's chief content officer says "House of Cards" will indeed return, with production set to restart on the Maryland-shot drama's final season early next year.
Deadline reports Ted Sarandos said the (comparatively short) eight-episode season will be led by Robin Wright as Claire Underwood. Sarandos promised the coda will "bring closure of the show for fans."
Former star Kevin Spacey will not appear after a slew allegations of sexual misconduct, including making unwanted advances on a then-14-year-old Anthony Rapp. Production was suspended after Rapp's allegations.

While Netflix and Media Rights Capital said they were only aware of one allegation from the set of "House of Cards," eight current or former crew members have alleged misconduct by Spacey around the set in Joppa.
The show's 250 to 300 crew members are being paid at least through Dec. 8. It's not clear if production company Media Rights Capital will continue to pay them between that day and when shooting begins
