Conor McGregor Says No Boxing; Wants to Hit MMA Next

RadioOnFire.com - The only ring Conor McGregor has his sights set on is the Octagon.

The mixed martial arts pro had his time in the boxing ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and suffered a humbling loss to Money Mayweather in the 10th round thanks to a TKO. It seemed as though the rumor mill wouldn't let McGregor's boxing career end that fast without talking about a possible face-off against Manny Pacquiao. Even Pacquiao publicly announced expectations to fight Connor, back in April.

It turns out if you were waiting for that matchup, you'll be waiting for a long time. TMZ Sports caught up with the fighter who dispelled those rumors. When asked, "what's next," Connor said he'd rather focus on a "real fight," saying, "I think a true fight is what I want to do next...MMA next."

ESPN also reported the UFC is "in the process of reworking McGregor's contract." Though his first fight back into MMA was believed to take place before the end of the year, it's looking more likely to be put off until 2018.

Wrestling fans can also put their wonders of Connor infiltrating the sport to bed. He shared his thoughts with TMZ in true Notorious-fashion saying, "F*** the WWE."
