RadioOnFire.com - Back when Donald Trump was campaigning for the Presidency, China as a "currency manipulator" who in his words was "raping" the U.S. economy, was one of the more provocative talking points he'd use to rally up his base.
Fresh out of a meeting with the leader of the far east nation on Thursday (November 9) the President addressed the economic relationship between countries in a slightly different tone, although his ridicule of the job Barack Obama did regarding the matter went unchanged.
"Both the United States and China will have a more prosperous future if we can achieve a level economic playing field. Right now, unfortunately, it is a very one-sided and unfair one. But, I don't blame China," Trump said to applause from the audience of Beijing business people on hand at the Great Hall of the People.
"After all, who can blame a country for being able to take advantage of another country for benefit of their citizens? I give China great credit. But in actuality, I do blame past administrations for allowing this out of control trade deficit to take place and to grow," he said.

While Chinese President Xi Jinping did give indication that he is willing to reset relations with the U.S. under Trump's direction, it remains unclear to what degree they intend to bend. Trump kicks off his two-day summit in the populous country having announced $250 billion in agreements between U.S. companies and the Chinese government. Jinping has reportedly called the deals a "win-win" for both parties.
