RadioOnFire.com - Actor Rebel Wilson is the newest person to join the list of people in Hollywood sharing their experience with sexual harassment and misconduct that takes place in the industry. Many of whom, like Rebel, are remaining quiet on naming the assailant but taking to Twitter to share as a form of the #MeToo stories bringing light to the predatory behavior.
On Saturday, the "Pitch Perfect" star decided to share her story where she alleged that "a male star in a position of power" asked to stick her fingers up his butt while his male friends looked on and recorded. She then revealed another encounter with a top director in a hotel room. "I've been away in a 'bubble' of sorts creating new comedy overseas but it's so hard to hear all these stories relating to sexual harassment and assault in Hollywood. As you guys know, I'm a pretty strong and confident person but even I have a story to tell," she wrote.
She continued in a series of tweets about contacting her agent, lawyer and telling many other celebrities about the incident. She was met with hostility and told to support the male actor. Wilson stated that "To hear how prevalent sexual harassment and assault is, is just so saddening. I know my stories aren't as horrific as other women and men have described - but if you've ever experienced anything like this I feel for you and can relate on some level."
