RadioOnFire.com - Lenny S. of Roc Nation posted a flyer on his Instagram account announcing a rally happening in support of Meek Mill on Monday, November 13th at 5 pm at the Center Justice Center in Philly.
As reported last week, Meek Mill will likely be spending the next two to four years in prison over a probation violation. The rapper went from taking a group of Philly students to a recent Sixers game to being sentenced. Since the news, people have erupted with outrage over the sentencing, many calling the judicial decision harsh and unfair for Meek Mill and countless of other men and women like him who fall victim to an unjust system. Mill's Philadelphia case originated in 2008 when the rapper was 19 years old and convicted on a drug and gun matter, to which he earned eight months in jail along with five years probation. Meek has been on probation for over a decade every after taking steps to do right by the law.
A petition has been set up at JusticeforMeek.com in light of reports that the judge was unfair in her treatment of Meek after he refused to remake a Boyz II Men song or leave Roc Nation for her colleague's management company at her request. Meek is essentially receiving 2-4 years for riding a dirtbike in Harlem and for attempting to break up an airport fight, both of which charges have been dropped.
