RadioOnFire.com - At least two petitions from change.org have a combined 100,000 signatures opposed to Michael Vick's Virginia Tech Hall of Fame induction. The polarizing quarterback revolutionized the way the quarterback position was played, opening the door for current stars such as Cam Newton and Russell Wilson.
The petition had this to say: “The College unequivocally opposes honoring an individual whose past actions contradict our values and the cornerstone of our mission,” read one petition. Virginia Tech supported Vick, citing his career at the school and not his animal cruelty conviction. “Mr. Vick’s induction into the university’s sports Hall of Fame acknowledges his tremendous achievements as a student athlete, who some will say was the greatest in the history of the university," while also condemning his past actions.
Vick has received criticism recently for advising Kaepernick to cut his afro, but it looks like his clean cut isn't stopping his opposition. Thoughts? Let us know in the comments.
