RadioOnFire.com - A 28-year old woman opened fire on an intruder who barged into her Atlanta home on Thursday, August 3. According to WSB-TV, the armed man made his way into the home of Shaquita Green threatening her and three children. Marietta Police said 27-year-old Keandre Funches stormed Green's home looking for her husband. After being forced to the back of her home, Green managed to get a hold of her gun and fatally shot Funches.
“It was either him or me," Green told reporters. "And I wasn’t going, my kids weren’t going to get hurt, and they weren’t going to see me get hurt." After an investigation, police have taken Javarian Mitchell into custody in connection with the home invasion. Police said Mitchell was the person who let Funches enter the home. Mitchell has been charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, false imprisonment, cruelty to children and felony murder.
