Bill O'Reilly Taking a Leave in Light of Sexual Harassment Allegation

RadioOnFire.com - In the aftermath of sexual harassment accusations that have cost the popular "O'Reilly Factor" more than 70 advertisers, beleaguered host Bill O'Reilly has announced that he is taking "a vacation."
O'Reilly has been under fire for the past week over allegations that he abandoned a promise he made to hire a regular contributor to his show after he determined that he would not get sex out of the deed. The charge comes from veteran radio host and television commentator Wendy Walsh, who recently phoned a complaint into Fox's workplace misconduct hotline with her lawyer on hand.
The complaint would be recorded by the pair and uploaded to Youtube, causing a media blitz to cover the story. According to Walsh, who viewers were well familiar with for her many appearances on the show, O'Reilly once gave his word that he'd bring her on board after she inquired into turning her unpaid routine into one that she could monetarily benefit from. But the opportunity was suddenly no longer available to her before long, and she says it has all to do with her having declined his advances at a 2013 dinner.
On Sunday (April 10), 21st Century Fox said that it is launching an investigation into the matter. If O'Reilly were to lose or leave his position at Fox it would be the second consecutive year the network has lost a big name to a sexual harassment scandal. In July of 2016, company chairman and CEO Roger Ailes stepped down amid accusations of harassment that he also faced. And it was recently revealed that Fox and/or O'Reilly have settled sexual harassment cases to the tune of $13 million in the past.
O'Reilly says he will be back on the air on April 24. When announcing his two-week leave, the O'Relly Factor host explained how there will be nothing out of the ordinary about his absence, stating, “Around this time of year, I grab some vacation because it’s spring and Easter time." He then asked viewers to tune back in on the 24th to hear all about his fun in the sun.
