RadioOnFire.com - The most serious charges faced by Desiigner after he was arrested for allegedly pulling a gun out on a driver in Midtown Manhattan on Thursday, September 8, have been dropped, it has been learned.
Contrary to reports circulating the media, the Brooklyn rapper was detained and charged with criminal possession of a loaded weapon based solely off of the accusation made against him, with officials confirming that no weapon was found when his car was stopped on West 42 street and Third Avenue. There had also been reports that he had been in possession of significant amounts of Oxycontin and methadone, leading to a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell. That charge has been dropped as well, with the D.A. verifying that evidence to support such a charge was insufficient.
Desiigner still faces charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and menacing, over what has been described as an incident of "road rage" that occurred outside of the exit of the Lincoln Tunnel. His arraignment was set for Saturday morning.
