TSA: Man Arrested For Loaded Handgun At BWI

RadioOnFire.com - A man was arrested at BWI Marshall Airport Wednesday after allegedly bringing a gun in his carry-on luggage, Transportation Security Administration officials say.
The semi-automatic 9 mm handgun was loaded with six bullets, and had one in the chamber. It was found during a scan at a checkpoint. TSA agents contacted Maryland Transportation Authority Police, who confiscated the weapon and arrested the man, whom TSA officials did not identify.
Firearms and ammunition may not be taken aboard in carry-on bags, but can be flown in checked luggage if unloaded, properly packed and declared to the airline. Anyone who brings firearms to the checkpoint can face criminal charges and civil penalties up to $10,000.
