RadioOnFire.com - Baltimore Police have recovered the murder weapon and a person of interest in the June killing of Baltimore rapper Lor Scoota.
"This proves that this platform works because we ask for tips," said police media relations Chief T.J. Smith during his regular visit to WBAL's C4 Show for BPD Case Files. "We've gotten a large amount in the Lor Scoota case."
Smith said police aren't saying that the person is necessarily suspected in the shooting, but that this person did have the gun. The name has not yet made public.
The person of interest has been identified as Avery Walton, 23, of the 2600 block of West Coldspring Lane.
"We have not positively connected him to the murder, but we know there was more than one person involved," Smith said.
Police said Walton was arrested on June 28 in the 2400 block of Loyola Northway on weapons and drug charges. However, Walton has not been charged in Lor Scoota's death.
