Mississippi Woman Sentenced To 12 Years For Trying To Join ISIS

RadioOnFire.com - A few months back we reported a newlywed couple trying to join the terror group ISIS. Jaelyn Young has now been sentenced to 12 years by a judge. She pled guilty to one count of conspiring to provide material support to a terrorist organization.

Jaelyn Young sobbed hard during her sentencing. Young’s parents begged for leniency during her hearing. Their daughter spoke on being very ashamed of her actions. Young’s fiancee,Muhammad Dakhlalla, will be sentenced on August 24. Prosecutors believe that Young put the idea in to her fiancee’s head. In a letter to her family, Young said,
“I found the contacts, made arrangements, planned the departure. I am guilty of what you soon will find out.”
