Hit and Run, Gunfire Disrupt 2-Year Anniversary Mike Brown March

RadioOnFire.com - A protest march marking the two year anniversary of the shooting death of Michael Brown by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, ended with the mowing down of a demonstrator, that was recorded on video on Tuesday night, August 9. Footage of the aftermath of the incident then captures the protesters assisting the injured man dispersing and seeking cover, as gunfire goes off within the vicinity.
More than 75 demonstrators were traveling along the road together, from the site of Brown's 2014 shooting, when the victim was run over. According to reports, police had been curbing people venturing onto the street, back on the sidewalk, along the route. The moment the unidentified victim was struck, he appeared to be the only one left standing in the way of oncoming traffic. Hysteria ensued, as he is seen skidding across the pavement after a loud thump sounds off the impact of the car hitting his body.

Witnesses attest to two rounds of gunfire being let off moments later, with the woman who filmed the incident, Heather De Mian, estimating having heard up to 15 shot. Ferguson city spokesman Jeff Small told reporters that there were no further injuries at the scene, although bullets allegedly did cause damage to the offending vehicle. By all accounts the march was peaceful leading up to the impending violence, as had been a vigil held by Black Lives Matter and the Michael Brown Chosen for Change foundation, earlier in the day.
