D.C. Police Officer Holds Petite Woman Up Off the Ground

RadioOnFire.com - Video of a woman whose feet hung dangling, as she was pinned up against a police SUV by an officer in Washington D.C., has raised eyebrows, as it spreads viral across the web. Twitter user @MacAndCheeks posted a series of four clips she recorded while witnessing the incident, captioning the initial video [which has since been retweeted nearly seven thousand times], "So this just happened. I'm TIRED. He literally hopped out and did this immediately to her. No CONVO," just before 12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 15.

While it is difficult to make out everything that was said between them during the physical detainment, the officer can be heard accusing the woman of having done something he claimed to have seen. At one point the audio records him telling her "Your a** is dust," while clutching her arms behind her back. When he puts her down, she continues to defend herself before the assisting officer. The whole time her manner is mild, showing no signs of hostility or resistance. She goes about gathering the books she had in hand and is let go without having been written up or arrested. Before leaving the scene, the officers notice @MacAndCheeks recording. She would tweet that she was eventually approached by the offending officers and asked to borrow the recording phone, with claims that his partner had managed to lose her own.

The victim has since identified herself only as "Shadon," age 32; an employee at Cleveland Elementary School. According to Shadon, she got into a dispute with a random man while defending a woman she saw him badgering on the street. @MacAndCheeks has since posted a separate video, in which Shadon is being interviewed and claims that the officer pegged her for a prostitute. "It was harassment and I asked for the police officer's badge - they wouldn't give me no names, no numbers or nothing - so I left - I never knew this was being recorded," she would tell local Fox 5 newscaster Bob Barnard, who managed to get in contact with her later that night.
