Louisiana's Governor Says The Justice Department Will Investigate Alton Sterling's Murder.

RadioOnFire.com - Louisiana’s governor, John Bel Edwards announced the federal Department of Justice will investigate the police shooting death Alton Sterling (37) a black man selling music in front of a convenience store.

The investigation has been turned over to U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI, the city's police chief told reporters Wednesday.

"It is our goal and our mission to make sure that a thorough, just, transparent and independent investigation be conducted into this incident," Police Chief Carl Dabadie Jr. said.

There is police body camera footage of the shooting of Alton Sterling, Baton Rouge Police Lt. Johnny Dunham told reporters. "That footage may not be as good as we hoped for. During the altercation, the body cameras did become dislodged, but they did stay on and active and recording at this time," Dunham said.

Yeah I bet it did become dislodged! How convenient. SMH Let's see how the police department squeezes out of this one.
